Legal signatures are a vital adult living skill. Young people will need an identifiable, consistent legal signature to sign contracts, sign checks, complete applications and more, making it an important skill to enhance their financial literacy.  With fewer young people learning cursive, it is important that students create a consistent, difficult-to-copy, identifiable legal signature.

This free mini-lesson will help you guide them to creating a unique signature that will help them transition into adult life.

And, while the lessons in this blog can stand alone, they work best when paired with the Financial Literacy course from Susan Traugh’s Transition 2 Life curriculum. This one-semester course is offered in both a special education edition and a companion text for general education students. Find it here!
